I have visited Vietnam in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and plan to go again as soon as I can. I served as a squad leader in 4th Platoon of B/4-21 of the 11th LIB of the Americal Division from March 21 to July 5,1970. Before that I was in B-2/16 of the First Infantry Division in the mortar platoon for five months and then company clerk for three until the BRO's redeployment. Info Items: April 27, 1971 Fire Support Base Debbie (BS 872 324) was closed, and 4-21 moved to FSB San Juan Hill. Operation IRON MOUNTAIN began on March 18, 1969 and ended on March 1, 1971.
