Hohner Professional 36 (HM-936)
Introduced by 1962, the Professional 36 appeared without fanfare but is (along with the even rarer Hohner Solist) the most sophisticated Melodica ever produced by Hohner, clearly intended as a professional level instrument. Supplanted by the Hohner Piano 36 after 1966.
The Professional is one of the most sophisticated and best melodicas ever produced, but it is demanding to play. Rare and expensive if in good playing condition ($500+ U.S.). It is very rare to find one in good playing condition and not needing work.
